Jb Fry is a conceptual designer that works in sculpture, print media, video, 3D animation and performance. These mediums allow them to navigate issues of gender and sexuality through the structure of domesticity. Fabricating domestic objects, designing screen print textiles, and installing spaces that reference residential architecture are ways that they comment on normative lifestyle and celebrate the contradiction: queerness. Their exhibitions include Wanted Design (Brooklyn, NY), Sullivan Galleries (Chicago), ADDS DONNA (Chicago, IL), Gene Siskel Film Center (Chicago, IL), Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago, IL), and Gallery 400 (Chicago, IL).
